More than Professional Growth, but personal development
During the 2023 journey, I focused on my work and personal life. I did go to the NDEO national conference in Denver, Colorado, where I supported the mentorship program and met plenty of people. I had a great time and learned many things for my newest high school dance teacher position at Ridge Community High.
One of the biggest challenges was understanding my self-care and self-awareness of how my future is evolving for success. I had many things I wanted to do professionally, but some situations still needed to be handled for my success. However, this year was full of lessons I needed to move forward with to succeed in my 2024 journey.
2023 has been a year of changes and modifications in life. I completed the Breathe for Change yoga instructor certification program and gained positive insights for my professional growth. Nonetheless, including this moment in my beliefs and professional experience is essential.
One of the lessons I learned this year was that I am better at understanding others but still need help understanding and managing time. I am aware of listening and providing feedback for encouragement and support at work. However, sometimes you need someone who can listen to you at home. I am keeping these notes to myself and ensuring that in 2024, I can bring the best out of me to succeed in my personal and professional journey!
