Innovate your Passion with Education.
My passion is to serve, advocate for children’s safety, and believe that anything is possible with the Lord.
Hi! Welcome to my blog. My name is Rosana Gonzalez Anaya. I am a dance teacher, former principal, and children’s safety advocate. My qualifications include being a Ph.D. student in education, with a self-designed focus on learning, instruction, and innovation at Walden University. I have a master’s degree from Universidad del Turabo, Gurabo, Puerto Rico, in Curriculum and Instruction with Educational Leadership credits. I achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies from the University of South Florida. During my tenure, I supported many students in becoming better citizens of our society, leading academic growth for academic achievements, behavior intervention, parent involvement, and support for the school community expectations.
As a dance teacher, I worked in a performing arts school for 10 years, had a dance school named Classical and Contemporary Dance School in Puerto Rico, and created a small dance company named Contempodanza. Through my journey, I led diverse activities that challenged students to increase test results in standardized exams, integrating extracurricular activities with a rigorous plan for student success.
Furthermore, as part of the mentor’s program from the NDEO National Dance Education Organization, I received positive feedback from my mentees for support within their teaching careers. At this moment, I am ending the final stage of the doctoral milestone with a focus on dance teachers’ perceptions of using virtual tools for teaching and learning in twenty-first-century education.
